Wolves bring the Challenge Cup Home
The town of Warrington welcomed back their Wolves Champions from Wembley in great style on Sunday. The Challenge Cup took pride of place on the bus adorned with primrose and blue ribbons.
Warrington Wolves Carnegie Challenge Cup Champions 2009 arrived home to a hero's welcome from the whole town. The atmosphere was electric at The Halliwell Jones Stadium as the players and coaches boarded the open topped bus for their parade. The route which took them around the town and past Cockhedge Shopping Park was lined with a sea of primrose and blue with the crowds of thousands cheering 'the Wire' home.
The rain didn't dampen anyone's spirits. Flags were waved, balloons held high and voices were in full swing.
Cockhedge Shopping Park is the proud sponsor of Mickey Higham and the Wolves e-zine.
