Cockhedge Welcomes the Challenge Cup!
Cockhedge Shopping Park was inundated with shoppers hoping to catch a glimpse of the Carnegie Challenge Cup last week when it visited the centre. Warrington Wolves players Mike Cooper and Kevin Penny posed for photos with shoppers and the trophy.
Iain Wright from Warrington was the lucky winner of a prize draw to win a signed Wolves shirt and he is pictured (left) here with Mike Cooper who plays as a prop for Warrington Wolves. Iain's name was randomly selected from thousands of entrants posted in centre.
This competition was another great success for Cockhedge Shopping Park with thousands of entries posted. Centre Manager George Wesson stated "We are always looking for new ways to give something back to the public, and this competition has generated a huge interest, considering the involvement of some local rugby heroes."
